AI Is Creating Jobs You’ve Never Heard Of (Yet)

McKinsey estimates that 375 million people may need to switch careers by 2030 due to AI and automation.
But as Robert Capps writes in The New York Times in an interesting article, this isn’t just about jobs disappearing; it’s about entirely new ones emerging too.
Here’s a quick rundown of the kinds of roles we’ll likely see:
Truth & Accountability
Jobs like "AI auditor," "trust director," and "AI ethicist" focus on fairness and transparency. Roles such as "legal guarantor," "consistency coordinator," "AI responsibility officer," and "escalation manager" will ensure someone is accountable when AI systems fail, whether factually, legally, or emotionally.
System Setup & Maintenance
Companies will need "AI integrators" to embed AI into operations, "AI plumbers" to fix broken systems, and "AI assessors" to evaluate model quality. Emerging roles like "virtual twin manager," "model deployment strategist," "drug-compliance optimizer," and "AI trainer" will help scale AI in healthcare, manufacturing, and beyond.
Communication & Creativity
Humans will still shape how AI sounds, feels, and engages. Think "story designer," "article designer," "world designer," "brand stylist," and "AI personality director," all focused on user experience.
Human-AI Teamwork
Roles like "human-AI collaboration coach" will help teams use generative tools more effectively.
So while AI is replacing some tasks, it is also opening the door to a new generation of careers. Many of them haven’t even been invented yet. 😎
Could This Therapy Help Your Pet Live Longer?

Millions of pets suffer from painful conditions that lack reliable treatments. For example, 1 in 3 cats will develop kidney disease, one of the leading causes of feline death, and nearly 1 in 5 dogs experiences arthritis, which leads to pain and mobility issues.
Without proper care, these conditions can shorten pets’ lives and cause long-term suffering. 😢
To address this, San Diego-based startup Gallant has raised $18 million to develop the first FDA-approved, ready-made stem cell therapy for pets.
How it works: Stem cells act like blank slates that can transform into any type of cell the body needs, such as skin, heart, or brain cells. This makes them valuable for treating health problems where healing is slow or difficult.
In arthritis, for instance, the cushioning in joints (cartilage) breaks down, causing pain, swelling, and stiffness. Stem cells can help by rebuilding that cartilage and reducing inflammation, which eases pain and improves movement.
Traditional stem cell treatments are slow and expensive because they involve collecting cells from the same pet or a close genetic match.
Gallant simplifies the process by using pre-prepared cells from healthy donor animals. These cells are harvested from tissue typically discarded during spay procedures and are a special type that doesn’t trigger immune rejection, making them safe for widespread use.
This breakthrough could bring fast, affordable relief to millions of pets around the world.
As a paw parent myself, I’m all for it. 🐾
Would You Swap Your Red Bull for a Healthier High?

Silicon Valley is moving away from old-school energy drinks like Red Bull and trying out lighter, healthier options, according to The Information.
These new drinks claim to boost focus and energy without the sugar crash or jitters using ingredients like ketones, a natural energy-providing compound produced by the body when it’s low on carbs.
Some popular picks: Brez, a calming drink with THC; Ketone-IQ, used by athletes and even the military; and Rarebird Coffee, which uses a gentler form of caffeine. There’s also Magic Mind, a tiny shot for productivity, and Clean Simple Eats, a protein + caffeine drink that’s gone viral on TikTok.
Backed by growing consumer interest and serious investment from big companies, these new drinks are becoming the go-to fuel for people who want to stay sharp and avoid burnout.
I haven’t tried any of them. Will you?

AI Around The World:
Malaysia and Thailand may soon face restrictions on AI chip imports as the US moves to block indirect sales to China. Nvidia and other chipmakers would need US approval to sell to these countries under a new draft rule. This follows a surge in Southeast Asia chip shipments and smuggling concerns.
In Korea, Louis Vuitton was hit by a cyberattack that exposed some customer data, though no financial details were compromised. The breach occurred on June 8 and has since been contained. The South Korean branches of Christian Dior Couture and Tiffany have also been under government investigation since May following customer data breaches.
The UK and Singapore launched a practical AI partnership in finance, targeting risk assessment, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance. Talks focused on explainable AI, shared fintech infrastructure, and joint asset tokenisation efforts. Both sides also aligned on green finance and plan to meet again in 2026.
US healthcare provider Mayo Clinic has developed an AI tool called StateViewer that can identify 9 types of dementia from a single PET scan. It improved diagnostic accuracy and doubled speed by comparing brain activity patterns to a vast scan database. The tool aims to bring early, precise dementia diagnosis to more clinics, even those without neurology specialists.
Until next time!
